Up to 85% of new sexually transmitted infections have no noticeable symptoms. When left untreated, STDs can contribute to everything from abdominal pain and infertility to even cancer in certain cases. Regular testing can help you detect a silent infection and prevent complications. Many STDs can be cured with antibiotics, and all can be managed with other medication to minimise risk to you and others.

Activating the test connects you to the unique alphanumeric barcode within your LetsGetChecked sample collection kit. The laboratory cannot process your sample if the test is not activated and linked to you.

LetsGetChecked has a team of doctors who have created expert support materials and detailed result breakdowns for your testing journey. Our nursing team is on standby throughout the testing process and, if you test positive, you will receive a call to discuss your results.

The sample must be collected before 10am on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and returned on the same day.

For your urine sample please make sure to collect the initial stream of urine in the morning before cleansing the genital area and do not urinate at least 1 hour prior to collection.

If you are concerned about possible exposure to one of these infections you should refrain from sexual activity until you receive a test result. For some infections, retesting after treatment may be required.

Return your sample using the carrier method provided within the sample collection kit. Each of our health tests includes a prepaid delivery envelope to return your samples to the laboratory.

Please do not collect or return samples on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
